2012 Governor's Historic Preservation Awards

On November 29, 2012, the 27th Governor's Historic Preservation Awards ceremony was held at Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park. Eleven recipients received awards at the event, presented by California State Parks Director Major General Anthony Jackson, USMC (ret.), and State Historic Preservation Officer Carol Roland-Nawi. The following are the 2012 recipients of the Governor's Historic Preservation Awards:

  • North Figueroa Association for Relighting the Historic Signs of Figueroa Street
  • Santa Barbara Courthouse Legacy Foundation for Santa Barbara Courthouse – Spirit of the Ocean Fountain
  • California Institute of Technology for Linde + Robinson Laboratory for Global Environmental Science
  • United States Forest Service for Smith River National Recreation Area Fire Warehouse Restoration
  • Napa Valley State Parks Association and California State Parks for Restoration of Bale Grist Mill’s Historic Grain Cleaning and Sifting System
  • City of Carlsbad for Leo Carrillo Ranch Barn Stabilization and Restoration Project
  • San Francisco Recreation and Park Department for Murphy Windmill of Golden Gate Park
  • Vista Irrigation District for Warner-Carrillo Adobe Ranch House and Barn
  • City of San Fernando and its Historical Site Preservation Commission for Rehabilitation of the Lopez Adobe
  • City of Orange for Cultural Resources and Historic Preservation Element of the City of Orange General Plan
  • Robert C. Pavlik for his many contributions to the preservation of historical resources in California
